Man from Bad Bunny concert indicted after planning mass shooting to spark ‘Race War’

A man who plotted a violent attack at a Bad Bunny concert has been indicted after a months-long investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

At age 58, Mark Adams Prieto, an Arizona native, spent months planning to stage a mass shooting at a Bad Bunny show in Atlanta in May 2024. According to NBC News, Prieto was indicted on charges of arms trafficking and transfer of guns for use. commit a hate crime and possess an unregistered firearm.

The federal grand jury indictment came after it was discovered that the violent attack Prieto was planning was intended to incite a “race war” ahead of the year’s presidential election 2024.

An FBI spokesperson revealed that Prieto is in the custody of the United States Marshals Service for transport from New Mexico to Arizona.

A source told FBI Phoenix that Prieto had expressed a desire to incite a race war. They told the FBI they had spoken to Prieto more than 15 times over the past three years.

Reportedly, the small talks turned to political conversations, and eventually, Prieto began making suspicious and alarming comments, one of which was “supporting a mass shooting.” series” targeting blacks, Jews and Muslims.

Surveillance on Prieto was increased in 2024 after the investigation began in October 2023. In January 2024, Prieto asked the source and an undercover FBI agent if he wanted them to help him carry out a mass shooting of Black people at a rap show in Atlanta.

That’s why it’s not great anymore,” Prieto allegedly said of his decision to choose Atlanta as the location for the mass shooting.

In March, Prieto told undercover agents about plans to carry out a mass shooting during Bad Bunny’s concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on May 14 and 15. He even instructed agents Wear a hoodie to blend in with the crowd.

Prieto was finally arrested in New Mexico on May 14 after backdating the date of the attack.
