Early life and education

Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born on 20 November 1970 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi.

He was one of 30 siblings, growing up in a large and influential family. Mansour attended Santa Barbara City College and graduated from United Arab Emirates University.

Career

In 1997, Sheikh Mansour was appointed chairman of the president’s office, at which time his father, Sheikh Zayed, was president of the UAE.

After his father’s death, he was appointed by his eldest half-brother, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as the First Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, after the office of the president and the presidential court were merged.
