Early life and education
Maryse Ouellet Mizanin was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, on January 21, 1983, in Montreal, Quebec. She was born to Guy Ouellet (father) and Marjolaine Martin (mother). She also has an older sister named Michelle Ouellet,
She graduated from Montmorency de Laval with a degree in business administration. She is also a black belt in martial arts, Maryse.

Maryse Ouellet Mizanin entered the “WWE Diva Search” as one of the top eight competitors in mid-2006 but was later eliminated. However, she still participated in “WWE”, but only as an observer at the developmental organization “Ohio Valley Wrestling” (OVW). On August 24, 2007, she officially committed to a “WWE” developmental deal as an “OVW” coach.
Maryse Ouellet Mizanin made her in-ring debut at an OVW live event in December 2006. She began competing in dark matches the following March. A few months later, Canadian professional wrestler Sylvain Grenier hired her as his manager. She made her television debut on an episode of “WWE Raw” around the same time, appearing in the music video for Timbaland’s song “Throw It On Me.”
As Ryan O’Reilly’s valet, she debuted in Florida Championship Wrestling in September 2007. She soon began competing in singles and tag team tournaments. In December 2007, she was appointed manager of Ted DiBiase Jr.

After defeating Gail Kim in the finals, she made history in 2010 by becoming the first “Diva” to hold the “WWE Divas Championship” title twice.
However, in a “Fatal Four-Way” match on June 20, Maryse Ouellet Mizanin was unable to regain the championship.
