Early life
elieliiscoming was born on February 10, 2004 in Lagos to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph. He was named Elijah Joseph by his parents eight days after his birth. Raised in the Mainland area of Lagos City, he hails from the Yoruba Tribe and is an indigene of Ondo State.
Elieliiscoming was raised Catholic by his parents and attended church regularly as a boy, learning about the teachings of the Bible. He first discovered his creative gifts at age 6 when he began dancing and went on to participate in several dance competitions in his community.
Being an accomplished dancer has given Elieli the opportunity to meet new people and build relationships. As a result, he is very dedicated to his dance pursuits and practices for hours every week.
While working as a dancer, he tapped into his other creative abilities: singing and fashion styling. The latter was discovered because of the need to always look good. Encouraged by the compliments he received from people about his personal style, he decided to learn more about the field and quickly began offering his services to clients.
Education
Currently residing in the commercial capital of Africa, Lagos, Elieliiscoming was educated in standard schools. After completing his primary education, he received his first School Leaving Certificate.
After six years of studying at a prestigious high school, he was awarded the SSCE Certificate, passing the exam with a fairly high score.
Career
Growing up in Lagos, Elieli was introduced to Nigeria’s rich music scene at an early age. Therefore, he began to learn and love alternative and indie sounds. Elieliiscoming started writing songs whenever he had the chance. Scribbling lyrics that came to mind in a notepad, he gradually built up his songwriting skills and sang the lyrics out loud to his ears. Doing this activity consistently gave him confidence that he could actually create music and succeed as an artist.
This took him to the studio in 2018, where he recorded his first single, Mama, at the age of fourteen. Even though he’s young, he’s managed to compose a song with catchy lyrics and a good beat. He would continue to make more music, occasionally visiting the studio to record songs, but he decided not to release the song yet. He doesn’t want to rush into the music industry and is taking his time to refine his sound. During this time, he chose the nickname ELove as his stage name.
Three years after recording his first song, he dropped his debut EP, Infatuated, in 2021. The three-track project, which he wrote, addresses love issues and the mood he’s in. have to face at this time. Even though he debuted as an indie artist, the project did quite well, attracting hundreds of streams and downloads on streaming platforms.
Infatuated introduced elieliiscoming, who changed his brand name from ELove to elieliiscoming into the industry, helping him build a small but strong fan community. Building a community of listeners, no matter how small, who enjoy your music is the first hurdle every artist must overcome and elieliiscoming has achieved that.
