Matty Healy is sharing new insights into his relationship with Taylor Swift and why it might not mean much to him.

In an interview with Doomscroll’s podcast on October 22, Healy shared that he would not be writing new music about Swift and their romance.

“I usually write more about relationships and things like that,” he explains.
Healy continued: “I would probably be more inclined to reflect on my experience as a human being, you know what I mean? And more so as an artist, but honestly , I’m almost just lying.”
Healy then went on to explain that if he documented his “normal” relationships he wouldn’t be interested in it.
“You know, if I recorded all the things people say about me or my casual romances or anything that would make me known just because I’m famous, I think that’s obvious to me.” draw from. I just don’t care about it,” he said.

“The idea of documenting something that happened to me personally that by the time I put it out there will be about two years old – I see people doing that too and it’s just not cool,” Healy concluded.
This isn’t the first time Healy has spoken out about his brief relationship with Swift. After Swift announced her milestone The poet group was tortured album on April 19, Healy was asked if he had heard the album, specifically his rumored track, “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”

However, they have been linked since 2014 when they met backstage at a Healy concert. Healy later appeared on an Australian radio program Shazam Top 20 and said he would love to date Swift.
“I mean, hell, what am I going to do, date Taylor Swift? She’s a celebrity. I’m not going to say no,” he said.

In December 2014, rumors began to spread that Healy and Swift were a couple. However, in January 2015, Healy denied that they were dating.
“It’s completely fake. It’s all fake. It’s all a farce,” he said. Shazam Top 20.
“There was no relationship or anything going on. We met. We exchanged phone numbers the same way a lot of people in this world do. And sometimes we talk, and then she became the most famous pop star in the world. I’m in Australia. There’s no relationship or anything going on. Neither Swift nor Healy have confirmed whether they are actually a couple despite being seen together multiple times last year.
