A brother and sister band from Ohio called “Girl Named Tom,” who formed in the spring of 2019, has been wowing the judges ever since they entered “The Voice” season 21. They came on the singing competition show and performed “Helplessly Hoping” by Crosby, Stills, and Nash. They have been a part of the four judges on the show. But in the end, they chose Kelly Clarkson as their coach.

During the competition round, the band sang Stevie Wonder’s ‘Seven Bridges Road’ as they faced off against Kinsey Rose, another contestant, and won. Then, during the elimination round, they sang Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ followed by Dust in the Wind by Kansas in Live Top 13.

‘Girl Name Tom’ made it to the Top 11 after qualifying. They performed More Hearts Than Mine by Ingrid Andress. In the Top 10, they sang Viva la Vida by Coldplay. In the semi-finals, they performed ‘River’ by Joni Mitchell.

As for the band name, it comes from a family memory.

As a child, Joshua used to give people nicknames, including their dogs. When Bekah was born, Josh started calling him Thomas, and that’s where the band’s name, ‘Girl Named Tom’, came from. The band focuses on acoustic pop with an emphasis on smooth harmonies.
