Darius Homayoun plays Majid in Sex/Life
Netflix Sex/Life premiered on March 2, 2023, and in the first episode, Billie was shown living in her new apartment after separating from Cooper. Then her best friend Sasha (Margaret Odette) comes to her aid to help her get rid of her anxiety and get back into the dating scene. Before long, the two are seductive and visit a bar where Sasha assures Billie that she has nothing to feel guilty about and can talk to other guys.
“In that case, let me go get my clothes on now,” Billie said sarcastically. So, while walking around the bar later, she comes across a dreamy man and it’s Majid (Darius Homayoun’s character). Funny enough, during their meeting, Billie accidentally dropped her phone, then raised her head and hit him on the nose. But Majid coldly asked if he could get her “insurance information” in case his nose was broken. Apparently, the conversations turned flirty as Majid soon asked if Billie was single.
Since Billie is going through a divorce, she says there’s no man in her life, but then goes on to tell the SparkNotes version of her chaotic life. “I don’t want to go out with you. I’m a mess that just blew up her life. I mean unintentionally. But if I’m really honest, it was completely intentional,” she explained. Additionally, she added that she has two young children, is in a bitter divorce, and is pining for the love of her life, who is having a baby with a model.
Surprisingly, Majid stayed and told her, “You are someone else. I love it. Usually, you have to go on three dates before you know the truth about what’s really going on with someone. At this point in my life, I feel much better about skipping the dance and cutting to the chase.” He then invited her to dinner and the next night when they met, he revealed that he was the restaurant owner.
Majid then revealed more about his professional life telling how he had difficulties in the financial field and was unhappy, so he took a chance on himself and changed his career.
Unfortunately, after their first date, just as they were about to have their first kiss, Brad and his new girlfriend showed up at the restaurant to ruin the moment. It turns out Brad and Majid are friends and Brad is also an investor in the restaurant!
