We know Denise Becker from ‘Life Below Zero’ as she travels with her partner Andy Bassich as they spend time in Alaska. The couple live together with 16 huskies. The National Geographic show documents their life in sub-zero temperatures and their preparations to survive the cold as it rises.
When Denise appeared on the show, she assured viewers that she was well equipped to survive in the cold climate of Alaska. She explained to viewers that she grew up in Canada and had worked some tough jobs during that time. Denise shared, “My family settled in northern Saskatchewan on a farm, and it’s still an active, hard-working farm. Calico Bluff was full of work, full of great work. Work that was really worth it at the end of the day.”

However, the couple divorced in 2015, citing Andy as a psychologically and physically abusive husband. They never had any children together.
