Who are Denise Butler’s parents on HGTV?

HGTV star Denese Butler’s parents, Peter Doyle and Maureen Doyle, first met when Doyle was 15 (a year after she moved to the United States) and soon got married. In July 2018, Denese took to IG to share about her parents.

They then lived a life of substance in the Boston area, where Denese grew up. She was adamant about choosing her own path, and she even explained it in an HGTV interview.

“Growing up, I was never really interested in the world my dad built,” Denese added. “I thought I was going to be a scientist when I was young, but that didn’t happen.” She added, “The way my dad influenced my journey was how hard he worked, and that’s something that was instilled in me.”

As a result, Denese majored in fashion design after high school and planned to work in the field until interior design caught her eye. She worked in the fashion industry for years and even made a name for herself after taking a fashion design course while in college. But soon after, she decided to explore other possibilities and began working at a textile design firm specializing in luxury goods.

Denese began learning about fabric construction while working as a textile designer, and she even gained a basic understanding of interior design. By chance, she fell in love with interior design and knew she had to learn more about it.

In 2023, Denese Doyle is 36 years old.

Denese married her husband Mike Butler on April 21, 2012, exclaiming “I’m so madly in love with this white guy” in front of friends and family.
