Reality TV producers are getting more and more creative. Remember Magic Mike the stripper from the 2012 hit movie of the same name?
Yes, HBO Max has assembled a group of handsome guys to battle it out (in striptease) to become the next Magic Mike. That means they’ll win a big cash prize and a chance to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas.
Matthew Merlin Leon was one of ten contestants on the show. In an interview with E! Online, Merlin said he had never stripped before and hadn’t even considered doing it. So when he auditioned, he didn’t think he’d get the part, but when he did, Merlin said he felt “unstoppable.”
Merlin has some previous experience with dancing. He was a stage actor and he has worked in musicals. However, Merlin says that dancing in musicals is very different from strip dancing.
Throughout the show, Merlin showed off his fire-twirling skills. He is also a good ukulele player.
Since filming on Finding Magic Mike ended, Merlin has essentially been “taking care” of his family. [his] body even better [he] has been involved in the show.” He has also been involved in local film projects and theater projects in Denver.

Merlin’s father’s name is Matt Leon and his mother’s name is Seri Leon.
According to Matt’s Facebook, he is a “clown,” “paper artist,” and “writer” (we’re as confused about “writer” as you are). He works at Clowns Around Town as “Yazzee the Clown.” He studied creative writing at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Seri is a medical professional and works at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She also served as a Healthcare Account Specialist at UCHealth (University of Colorado Hospital) and a Customer Care Representative at Anthem Inc.
In addition to Merlin, Matt and Seri also have a son named Josh Leon. A graduate of Aurora Community College, Josh currently works at Urban Farmer Denver.
