After completing his training in April 2009, Jake had his first match as a tag team match for a Michigan-based promotion called IDW, run by Rude Boy.
However, under the moniker “Jake Something”, he debuted on November 8, 2014, at Wrestling And Respect’s November We Remember event, teaming with Danny Shay in a losing tag team match against Austin Manix & Orlando Christopher.
Jake then joined WAR and became a one-time WAR Champion. He also wrestled in promotions including Xtreme Intense Championship Wrestling, where he became a two-time XICW Xtreme Intense Champion.
