Meet Judy Malinowski’s Daughters: Kaylyn and Madison Malinowski!

Judy Malinowski was burned alive by her ex-boyfriend Michael Slager during an argument on August 2, 2015. But she survived for months only to testify in their own murder trial through a video – this is truly heartbreaking to watch. Now, her daughters are looking to expand the law in their mother’s name and have established a foundation!

So who are they? Scroll down, to find out.

Who is Judy Malinowski’s daughter?

Judy Malinowski has two daughters named Kaylyn and Madison Malinowski. They were dubbed “the color of her heart” in Judy’s obituary published in Egan Ryan.

After Judy’s tragic death, Kaylyn and Madison established a foundation in their mother’s name to support individuals and families suffering from domestic violence, drug abuse, and human trafficking. The Judy Foundation not only provides support and resources to victims and their families, but they also hope to raise awareness nationwide through social media resources such as books, workshops, videos, and documentaries . “At Judy’s Foundation, we want to promote healing and rebuilding within the natural family,” they write.

Furthermore, the Malinowski siblings actively help people like them overcome their pain. They shared that what helps them best is always having someone to talk to. The sisters want other children to not feel lonely.

“I want to say that eventually we will get through this and that is something that we you can really follow, like her legacy,” Madison said. “When people look at you, they say, ‘Hey, that girl must be as tough as their mother.’”

Meet Kaylyn Malinowski, Judy Malinowski’s eldest daughter

Kaylyn Malinowski is the eldest daughter of Judy Malinowski. Many of us remember her from the time she testified before state lawmakers at the Ohio Statehouse to pass Judy’s Law in 2017.

At that time she said: “Since my mother cannot speak, I am here to speak for her. “While he received 11 years in prison, my mother, my sister and I all received life sentences. It has ruined my life, my family’s life, my children’s lives and the lives of everyone around us, and the law of justice is unfair.”

Thankfully, her pleas were heard and Judy’s law was applied.

Now, she’s hoping to expand the law. Instead of six years, she wants nine years to count towards a sentence, and she wants it to apply not just to attackers who used accelerants.

“I think if there were more laws that were similar and broader in scope, people would probably feel more comfortable reporting it,” she explains.

Kaylyn Malinowski was born on March 12, 2004. That makes her 19 years old in 2023.

Additionally, this means she was 12 years old when Judy’s law was passed.

Kaylyn Malinowski is a future criminal lawyer. In 2023, she is a sophomore pursuing Criminal Law and Political Science at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

She just graduated from Saint Francis DeSales High School in Columbus, OH, in 2022.

In addition to her studies, Kaylyn is also a Student Ambassador and Basketball Cheerleader at Franciscan University. Additionally, in high school, she was a student director.

Her life motto is to always stand up for justice. “My mom taught me that you can stand up to anyone,” Kaylynn commented.

Riddle: Kaylyn received the “Serra Club Altar Server Award” from her church Saint Joseph’s Cathedral in May 2018.
