Meet Sofia Jirau, Victoria Secret Model
Puerto Rican model Sofia Jirau proved that “there are no limits on the inside or the outside” when she became the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome. Not only that, she also became the second Puerto Rican to star in a Victoria’s Secret campaign.
“You have to work hard to get where you are. The Victoria’s Secret experience was brutal, super cool, and now I’m traveling the world. Let’s show everyone!” Sofia told Magacín. She made her modeling debut at New York Fashion Week in February 2020 on the runway for Puerto Rican designer Marisa Santiago, who discovered her while working with her on a dress fitting.
The event was covered by Vogue Mexico Revelist, People, Univision and many other newspapers.
Sofia has also previously modeled for Lisa Capali and Wanda Beauchamp, who gave her her first break in modeling.
