Megan Thee Stallion Shares Surprising Revelation About Beyoncé After Epic Collaboration: ‘Still Makes Me Nervous’

Megan Thee Stallion says she continues to be fascinated by Beyoncé and their working relationship as she highlights the superstar’s influence on her career.

During an appearance on Instagram’s “Close Friends Only” podcast this week, the 29-year-old Texas rapper heaped praise on Beyoncé while chatting with his friend GloRilla.

“Talking about Beyoncé still makes me nervous,” Megan admits. “Like Beyoncé is really, like, Beyoncé. Like, Beyoncé?! You have to tell them a couple times. Like your mom named you Beyoncé because she knew you were going to be that girl.”

The “Otaku Hot Girl” rapper continued, “She knows that there won’t be another Beyoncé on this planet. If you name your kid Beyoncé, you’re pushing it too far. Because this [is their] family name. Like how is your whole last name alive? I don’t know, I just like Beyoncé.”

GloRilla also shared her encounters with Beyoncé, with the Memphis artist confiding in Megan about feeling scared during two interactions.

“Every time I feel like I leave my body and go to heaven,” the 25-year-old rapper from “Wanna Be” confessed. “I’m really obsessed with Beyoncé.”

However, Megan had a hard time remembering the exact moment she first met the “Single Ladies” singer.

“I can’t even tell you when the first time was,” Megan admitted. “Oh my gosh. Because I just felt so amazing when I saw Beyoncé a couple times.”

But in a stern tone, the “Sweetest Pie” hitmaker claimed that talking badly about Beyoncé to her face was a risky move. She went on to say that criticizing Beyoncé only reveals your “true nature” as a jealous individual.

“Because if you talk bad about Beyoncé, you’re really just a hater. You’re really a hating asshole,” Megan added.

Beyoncé lent her talents to a remix of Megan’s 2020 hit “Savage,” taking the song to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming her first No. 1 single.

Last year, Beyoncé and Megan performed “Savage” together at the superstar’s “Renaissance Tour” in Houston.

At the time, Megan shared with fans that she couldn’t hold back tears the entire week leading up to the show, expressing how important it was to share the spotlight with the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer.

She confessed in an Instagram video in September 2023, “You guys have no idea how many times I cried this week. You guys don’t understand that Beyoncé is my idol. Like I really love Beyoncé with all my heart.”

“I’m wearing this camouflage because I’m going to join the f**king war after Beyoncé,” Megan continued. “I will never not be Beyoncé’s number one fan.”
