Early life and education
Mercy Eke was born on 29 September 1993. She hails from Imo State, South Eastern Nigeria. She is of Igbo ethnicity. She has an older sister named Promise Eke.
Mercy Eke attended Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria.
She then went to Imo State University in Owerri for further studies.
Career
Mercy Eke joined Big Brother Naija on 30 June 2019 and was announced as the winner in October 2019, becoming the first woman to win the top prize. She had previously auditioned for Big Brother Naija four times before becoming a contestant.
The striking queen emerged winner of the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija season four ahead of fellow housemates Frodd, Mike Edward, Omashola Oburoh and Seyi Awolowo.
Mercy Eke was awarded a prize money of 60 million naira for winning the show as the grand prize. To this day, she remains one of the most talked about contestants of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.
After winning season 4 of Big Brother Naija, she became an ambassador and influencer for various organizations, including Ciroc and Mr. Taxi. In 2020, she made her acting debut in a Nollywood film titled Fate of Alakada.
