Early life
Miss Pru DJ comes from a humble background. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sebalo.
She was born on April 6, 1985 and grew up in the Gauteng region of South Africa.
Growing up under the influence of the burgeoning South African pop culture, she developed an interest in music as a teenager. Although she doesn’t have a good voice like most of her friends who pursue music, she is a talented musician. While she was writing lyrics in her diary, her passion for DJing was born.
To achieve this dream, she trained at Fuse Academy and qualified after many months of study. To develop herself, she took a course in radio communications at On Cue Communications. Armed with these two training courses, she became the host of a show – The Sound Elevation – broadcast on Rhythm100 radio.
Education
An average but hard-working student, Miss Pru DJ passed the exam with high scores from elementary school, middle school and high school.
As a person who is passionate about cultivating knowledge, she has attended many workshops, seminars, and conferences related to the field of media and entertainment business.
Career
Collaborating with DJ Zinhl, Miss Pru DJ co-hosts the radio show House Of She. The program is often broadcast on TransAfrica Radio. Additionally, she began getting gigs to perform at weddings, birthday parties and corporate events throughout South Africa. She has performed at the South African Music Conference and the Ceremonial Dance Concert in the past. She has also toured other cities in Africa and North America performing at events.
Not giving up on her music career, Miss Pru DJ signed a contract with Ambitouz Entertainment and joined the record label in 2015. Her association with this label was a success. Besides her growing popularity, she has also collaborated with many industry giants such as Fifi Cooper, Emtee, Sjava, Saudi, Areece and B3nchMarQ.
In 2015, Miss Pru DJ launched her debut single Welele into the music waves, and this brought her into the limelight. After that, she started receiving many industry collaborations and invitations to perform at events. She surpassed this success with her 2016 hit single, Ameni, a collaboration with her labelmates.
After months of isolation during lockdown, Miss Pru DJ has come up with a jam to delight fans in South Africa and around the world. The single titled uHulumeni has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube.
