Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Chidimma Adetshina was named Enugu State Brand Ambassador

Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, recently crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, has been appointed brand ambassador for Enugu State by Governor Peter Mbah. The announcement, made during Adetshina’s visit to Government House in Enugu, marked a milestone for both the beauty queen and the state.

Adetshina’s path to this role is remarkable. Born in Soweto, South Africa, to a Nigerian father and a South African mother, she initially competed in the Miss South Africa 2024 contest However, controversy arose over her dual heritage, leading to her withdrawal amid concerns about xenophobic sentiment.

After this defeat, Adetshina returned to Nigeria, where she won the championship. Miss Universe Nigeria title in August, a victory that symbolized her triumph over adversity and honored her identity.

Governor Mbah praised Adetshina’s resilience, calling her journey a testament to the spirit of Enugu. “Chidimma’s story is one of perseverance and resilience, qualities we value in Enugu.
