Early life
Mmatema Moremi was born and raised in Zebeidelia, Limpopo, on 26 February 1992. Her parents’ names are Disego Moremi and Lucky Moraila Moremi.
Unlike others who force themselves into something that is clearly not their calling, Mmatema Moremi’s case is quite different. Her teachers discovered her singing talent as early as kindergarten; her voice stood out whenever the students were instructed to sing during morning assembly.
When Mmatema Moremi was around 10 years old, she crashed a live concert and sang in front of the entire audience. Soon after the event, she became the talk of the town. After crashing the live concert, she started getting bookings for weddings and ceremonies.
Education

Mmatema Moremi met her husband “Tshepo Gavu,” also known as Mr. G, in 2014, at an audition where Tshepo worked as a sound engineer for a choir. Tshepo was stunned when he first saw Mmatema Moremi.
