My Chemical Romance’s longest-serving drummer Bob Bryar has passed away. He is 44 years old.
TMZ reported that the musician was found dead at his residence in Tennessee on Tuesday. His last known sighting was on November 4.
Authorities told the agency that foul play was not believed to be involved because all of Bryar’s musical instruments and weapons in the residence were left undisturbed.
Animal Control was called to the residence and removed the two dogs after discovering the drummer’s badly decomposed body. The medical examiner is said to be looking into the circumstances surrounding Bryar’s death.
Bryar, who was with the band from 2004 to 2014, met the members of My Chemical Romance during their tour with The Used in 2004. Not long after the release of the album “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge ” of MCR, Bryar officially takes over from Matt Pelissier.
In addition to contributing to the band’s most iconic album “The Black Parade”, Bryar also contributed several compositions to the band’s 2010 album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”.
However, before it was released, Bryar decided to leave.
Bryar worked in real estate but connected with people on the internet, speaking openly about struggling with suicidal thoughts on multiple occasions after leaving MCR.
Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance will begin touring in 2025.
