Nicki Minaj claims she’s number 1 after Cardi B says she inspires female rappers

Nicki Minaj appears to be shading Cardi B on X, formerly Twitter, after the latter received an honor praising her for her impact on the music industry.

Minaj, in a tweet, expressed her confusing thoughts.

“Hey, let’s get into this right now. I’m that Btch. That’s Number 1. Number 2. Let’s review number one. If that means you have to review that damn thing 500 times a day, DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Before you EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Think of playing on MY BOMBOROSCLOT HEAD!!!!! ” Minaj said.

Minaj then went on to talk about the success of her Pink Friday 2 world tour.

“No matter how much you PAY for ONIKA to be blogged (when she’s clearly joking JUST with Barbz and minding her own business), just remember that all media pays fee lied to you two about my tour and now it’s in the TOP 10 hip hop tours of all time and we’re not even halfway there yet,” Minaj added.

Minaj’s fiery statements came after Cardi B received the Inspiration Award from blogger Jason Lee’s 2024 Impact Awards.

According to the Grammy Award-winning rapper, Lee always reminds her of her achievements and longevity in the music industry.

“Obviously I saw that,” Cardi added. “Sometimes people always want to downplay everything I’ve done, but I know I’ve made a difference in my industry. I know I’ve changed a lot of things.” During her speech, Cardi acknowledged the inspiration she’s given to female rappers.

“I know I’ve inspired a lot of girls, whether they admit it or not. Baby, I see Cardi B all over you, baby. B*****, don’t play,” the rapper “Up” said.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the “Bongos” rapper discussed her impact on the music industry, especially in the female rap lane.

“These labels don’t believe in representing new rap artists,” she asserted. “Everyone from every label told me this to my face. They started signing new female rappers after I signed.”

Cardi also doubled down on the online debate about whether these young artists have the ability to make it in the industry.

“Can some b-ches be the greatest rappers [or] they just make good music – at the end of the king’s day, guess what? They’re on your playlist now,” she added.
