The 38-year-old singer is preparing to take the stage at Boston’s Fenway Park on Thursday night. However, unforeseen weather conditions caused the show to be significantly delayed. Originally scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m., the concert was inevitably postponed until 10:30 p.m.

As the performers left the stadium, a message flashed on the screen warning them of weather delays.
“Due to adverse weather forecast, the evening’s events will be postponed,” the announcement stated.
“All fans must leave their on-field seats and outdoor seating areas and seek shelter inside the stadium concourse immediately.”
“Please take the time to gather all your team members and calmly proceed inside the stadium concourse.”
After evacuating fans, Fenway Park officials warned against returning before allowing them to return.
Del Rey reached out to her fans on Instagram to gather their opinions on the possibility of delaying or rescheduling the concert.
“Would you like the one-hour show tonight if it were possible and the lightning stopped? As opposed to the two-hour show on Saturday,” the singer asked.
Fans later agreed to the shortened performance after the singer took the stage several hours past the scheduled time.
Additionally, the “Young and Beautiful” singer took to her Instagram Story to give a video explanation about the show’s delay.

Per Newsweek, Del Rey said, “Hey guys, I’m down at the bottom of Fenway. I’ve got everyone here, they just cleared the stage.”
“So every time lightning strikes, we have to wait 20 minutes and it just keeps striking,” the “Blue Jeans” singer told her followers.
“So what we’re hoping for is to fill the room by 10 o’clock and at least do an hour-long show. That’s what we’re hoping for as a minimum. Worst case scenario, we rescheduled to Saturday. I don’t think so.” ‘don’t know, I’m praying and I’m here with all the girls just hoping.
Luckily, Del Rey still entertained the audience with a great performance, playing a total of 15 songs for the audience to enjoy.
