Early life
Nicolette Mashile was born on 14 September 1988 in Bushbuckridge, but grew up in Mpumalanga. She is the youngest of three siblings. She never fails to reveal how much she loves her siblings. She revealed that her older sister, Bridget Mashile, is always there for her whenever she needs help.
Nicolette Mashile spent most of her childhood in Nelspruit, where she attended boarding school. She also revealed in an interview how isolated she and her sisters were as children and could not speak English or Swazi.
Nicolette Mashile said she was grateful to her parents for everything, despite their strictness; she also revealed how her parents struggled to give her and her siblings a solid and formal education. Nicolette Mashile added that her mother instilled in her the value of respect, while her father instilled in her the value of mentorship.
