‘No talent? Just strip!’ Outrage over pornographic music video

Tate McRae has shocked and disappointed fans by appearing to go topless in her latest music video for ‘It’s ok i’m ok’.

As the singer-dancer confidently strode down the crowded streets of New York City, she was suddenly arrested by two male police officers.

After being restrained by police, Tate was found not wearing a bra and was tied to the car.

A blurry photo of her “without underwear” has fans expressing disappointment with the singer for taking off her clothes in the music video.

Tate’s 2023 album “THINK LATER” has catchy songs that could grace everyone’s TikTok page. She rose to fame when she competed on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2016 at the age of 13.

The 21-year-old also has years of experience composing music.

In recent years, Tate has been attracting attention as the next Britney Spears. At the recent VMAs, she honored the Princess of Pop by wearing an outfit reminiscent of the one Britney wore in 2001.

Her supporters were shocked and disappointed when she decided to reveal everything in the music video.

According to X user @eXXYV1dWwq37451, “If you don’t have talent, you can always take off your clothes.”

“I mean completely naked?!!! That’s so demeaning,” @reminisceyves added.

@WithYourCh3s also tweeted, “I’m tired of the constant need for over-sexualization in sculpture these days, what is this?” while @TheEmpressTiff declared, “It’s just lewd and low. No creativity at all.”

Another X user, @snailsnifferinc, wrote, “Honestly, I feel like over-sexualization has been a part of the pop industry for a long time, but this is insane.”

@BRODYSVERSlON, whose children are fans of the pop star, angrily declared, “She needs to be taken down this is so gross. My 5 year old son was shown this at school and now he and all his classmates are walking around naked singing dirty Tate Mcrae lyrics. This has to stop!!!!!?!!!!”

In contrast to the negative reactions, some individuals have found reasons to raise their eyebrows for positive reasons.

@laurenxcros wrote, “Oh my gosh, women are uncomfortable with their own bodies, it’s great that women have the choice to do what they want with their bodies…”

“Like we fought for that decades ago?” she added.

A comment on her YouTube video reads, “I love how Tate’s music videos showcase her talent not only as a singer-songwriter but also as a dancer.”

“She makes us mellennials so proud. Never thought I’d be obsessed with a pop star at 31. KEEP GOING,” another YouTube commenter said.

It’s important to mention that Tate isn’t completely topless in those censored scenes. Instead, she’s wearing flesh-colored lingerie.
