Order to assault Nicki Minaj denied

The case accusing Nicki Minaj of assaulting a former employee has hit a roadblock.

According to TMZ, the Detroit Police Department filed a request for a warrant in this case and has now been blocked by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. The reason behind the denial of the order is said to be due to lack of evidence on the part of the accuser.

While this does not mean that an arrest warrant will not be issued in the future, there is currently insufficient evidence and police have been asked to investigate further into the alleged incident.

On January 3, a lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles alleging that Minaj’s former manager, Brandon Garrett, was assaulted by the rapper. In the lawsuit obtained by United States today. Garrett’s attorney, Tom Feher, shared his own statement about the alleged attack, in which he claimed that Minaj threatened his client’s life.

“Mr. Garrett was simply completing his duties and when Ms. Minaj believed that his job performance was no longer effective, she resorted to physical violence and threatened his life.
