Early life
Pearl Suchi was born on May 13, 1988 in a family of three.
She had a difficult upbringing as her father, Mr. Bhekizizwe Suchi, continuously abused her mother until the day she passed away. She was just 14 years old when her mother passed away.
Because the situation is not very good, to this day, Tran Nhui still has a tense relationship with her father. After her mother’s death, she immediately took on the role of mother to her younger sisters, Silinde and Sanilisiwe Suchi.

Pearl Suchi attended Pinetown Girls High School. Immediately after finishing school, she registered to pursue a modeling career.
Career
Pearl Suchi started her modeling career at the age of 15. She has participated in several beauty pageants in her hometown of Kwazulu-Natal. While doing that, she learned the basics of modeling.
She participated in the Miss Teen South Africa pageant in 2003 and won 1st runner-up position. She was the youngest contestant.
Thanks to her success in her first major competition, she decided to continue working in the entertainment field. She appeared in many commercials for various companies in South Africa. She also appeared on the covers of various magazines such as True Love, Bona Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Destiny Hair, Grazia, City Press iMag, Gaschette and Blaque.
Pearl Suchi’s first acting role came in 2009, when she played Particia Kopong in the No. 1 Women’s Detective Agency. Since entering the film industry, she has become a star in television series hits like Tremors 5: Blood Lines (2015), Catching Feelings (2017), Kalushi (2017), The Scorpion King: Book of Souls (2018), Isidingo (2013), Quantico (2016-2017).
She has acted alongside famous American actress Priyanka Chopra. She appears in Queen Solo as the main character, which is Africa’s first Netflix original release.
She is the host of Lip Sync Battle Africa on MTV, Moments With Mo on EbonyLife TV and is currently the host of Behind the Story.
