Early life and education
Peter Mbah was born in Enugu State on March 17, 1972. He obtained his SSCE at the Army Children’s School in Port Harcourt and Owode Secondary School in Ogun State.
He then obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of East London in the United Kingdom. He then attended law school in Nigeria and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar Association.
Peter Mbah received his MBA from the IESE Business School at the University of Navarra in Spain and his master’s degree in maritime and commercial law from Lagos State University.
He graduated with a postgraduate degree in strategy and innovation from Oxford University’s Said Business School. Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu also awarded him an honorary doctorate in political science.
Career
Peter Mbah founded Pinnacle Petroleum Company Limited. After a successful corporate career, he entered politics. He was appointed Chief of Staff by Governor Chimaroke Nnamani in 2003, and he later served as Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development.
However, he held positions in the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee, Enugu State Executive Council and the State Security Council.

Peter Mbah heads many committees, including the Subcommittee on Legal Affairs of the Federal Accounts Appropriations Committee.
