Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson, nicknamed Phyno, was born on October 9, 1986. He is from Anambra State but was born and raised in Enugu State, Nigeria.

Phyno graduated from the prestigious Enugu College of Management and Technology with a degree in Public Administration.
Profession
Phyno’s dream was to become a pilot, but he grew up to study public administration. He began to develop his musical talent when he was in second grade at school.
Phyno began to benefit from music during college, but he had a hard time studying in high school. He learned to play drums and piano, and also learned to create his own visual rendition of every recording he heard.
His most successful song was a song he produced, which featured MI Abaga and others. Later, he collaborated with local rapper Olamide on “Ghost Mode”, which became a hit. The single also won the Best Collaboration Award.
Phyno has become one of the most well-known and respected rappers in Nigeria through his several notable albums. Phyno has also produced several hit singles including “Fada Fada” among others.
