Rade Šerbedžija was born on July 27, 1946 in the village of Bunić, which was located in the Lika region of Croatia, then part of Yugoslavia.
He is the son of Stana and Danilo Serbedia, both of whom were Serbian and fought as guerrillas during World War II.
