Why was Rich Boy arrested?
On October 3, 2022, Rich Boy was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic violence, including domestic violence, harassment, and domestic violence assault. Rich Boy allegedly got into an argument with his parents, prompting the police to get involved.
This is the second time he has been arrested for attempted assault, following a similar arrest in 2008. The civil claim was filed by an accountant injured in 2005 by shrapnel fired from a Cadillac owned by Richards and his brother Irvin.
Both he and his brother pleaded guilty to attempted assault; Rich Boy received a suspended sentence, while Irvin was sentenced to ten years in prison. He and Irvin were ordered to pay $25,000 in compensatory damages and $312,500 in punitive damages.

Marece Benjamin Richards was born on September 2, 1983 in Mobile, Alabama, USRich Boy was raised in a typical neighborhood with both positive and negative influences. His father owned a liquor store in the middle of the neighborhood, where he worked all day.
It was there that Rich Boy first encountered drug addicts, drive-by shooters, and other forms of trouble. He hung out with drug dealers, and his actions began to affect his mother and his lifestyle began to change.
Despite his mistakes, his mother always tried her best to keep him in the church. He enrolled in Tuskegee University to study mechanical engineering but dropped out to pursue a rap career.
Music career
Rich Boy first signed to Zone 4 through Interscope Records and began working on his debut album. He appeared on a Ludacris compilation, followed by mixtapes like Drake and DJ Ideal’s Comeback Season and Jermaine Dupri’s Da Bottom, Vol. 5.
His self-titled debut album was released in March 2007. Singles from the album peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, number three on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and number two on the Hot Rap Tracks. In 2009, he released a song called Top of the World.
The song appears on the album Music Inspired by More Than a Game, based on the documentary More Than a Game. In 2010, the title of his second album “Resurrected in Diamonds” was revealed.
The album was scheduled for release in 2013. Drop, one of the album’s singles, was released in 2009, followed by She Luvs Me (She Luvs Mi Knot) in 2010. Dr Dre and Polow da Don collaborated on the album’s production.
