Meet Robert Bovard, Husband of RHONY Tinsley Mortimer
Page Six reports that Tinsley Mortimer, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of New York City,” married her fiancé, Robert Bovard, on November 12, 2023, in Palm Beach, Florida.
Specific details about the wedding were kept under wraps; the site exclusively revealed that the wedding came after the couple had secretly gotten engaged. But just before the ceremony began, Tinsley was seen holding what appeared to be her wedding dress in a very large bulging garment bag. Additionally, Robert was photographed by paparazzi wearing a casual white polo shirt and carrying a few bags of his own, including a navy blue tote bag that read “C’est la vie” in white letters.
The former New York City beauty, who spent years in the South, reportedly turned down the chance to rejoin the “Housewives” franchise because she wanted to live a low-key life. The couple’s dating history and method of introduction are unknown.
Fans know that this happened sometime after her ex-husband Scott called off their engagement in 2021. According to multiple publications, the Bravolebrity was taken aback when Scott split from her at the time.
“[Tinsley] “She turned her whole life around and gave up her career for Scott because she really thought it would work this time,” PEOPLE reported at the time. “She gave it her all. She fought to make it work, but he just went back to his old ways of constantly breaking up with her and getting back together. It was an endless cycle.”
Page Six was first to report that Tinsley was engaged to Robert and planned to marry on November 11 in Palm Beach, Florida.
Jewelry experts have previously said Page six style Tinsley Mortimer’s massive emerald engagement ring is estimated to weigh between 10 and 15 carats. Based on photos of the former celebrity wearing the stone, The Diamond Pro CEO Mike Fried claims the stone has a stunning “deep green color” and a “diamond halo.”
“Finding a high-quality emerald of this size is no small feat,” he continued, estimating its value at more than $500,000. The stone appears to be “a limited-treatment Colombian emerald,” according to another expert, Edward Klopfer of Rare Carat, who estimates its value at “well over $300,000.”
From 2002 to 2010, Tinsley was married to socialite Topper Mortimer. She was also briefly engaged to Scott Kluth, but the two split in 2021.
Robert was born on August 11, 1976. She turns 47 in 2023.
Tinsley Randolph Mercer Mortimer is from Virginia and grew up in Graymont, the Mercer family home in Richmond, Virginia. She later attended boarding school at Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, where she met her first husband, Topper Mortimer. Together they moved to New York City, where Tinsley attended Columbia University, graduating with a degree in art history. Once Tinsley arrived in New York, her blonde hair, Southern charm, and ability to brand herself propelled her into the upper class. She quickly became a symbol of New York’s high society and the most photographed woman in New York City in the early 2000s.
After working at Vogue, she moved into public relations. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Tinsley built a successful personal brand that launched with a handbag line, Samantha Thavasa by Tinsley Mortimer; a clothing collection, Riccimie by Tinsley Mortimer, sold exclusively in Japan; and a desk collection. Tinsley later became a beauty ambassador for iconic French fashion designer Christian Dior and helped create a lip gloss called Tinsley Pink.
