Early life and education
Roberto De Zerbi, 45, was born on June 6, 1979 in Brescia, Italy. He grew up in a football-loving family and was exposed to the sport from a young age.
De Zerbi spent his early career playing for local teams in Brescia before moving to Serie C side Foggia in 1998.
He spent 13 years playing as a midfielder in Italy’s lower leagues before retiring in 2013.
