Ronald Ozzy Lamola (born 21 November 1983) is a South African legal advisor and legislator.
He is currently the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services in South Africa.
Furthermore, he is a member of the African National Congress. He has also served as a Member of the South African Parliament since 22 May 2019.

Early life
Ronald Lamola was born on November 23, 1983.
He grew up on a farm in the Komatipoort area as the son of farmers. His sister funded his university education.
He spent his formative years on a farm that did not belong to his family. He then moved to his father’s village with his family, and this move caused a delay in his education because of the change in language.
He had to learn a new language before completing his primary education.
Education
Ronald Lamola has a CV that boasts two Masters degrees, the first in Corporate Law. The second in African mining law from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
He graduated from Mchachka High School in Bushbuckridge in 2000 and obtained his law degree (LLB) in 2005 from the University of Venda.
Career
Ronald Lamola worked at the law firm TMN Kgomo and Associates after graduating from the University of Venda in 2005 and was admitted as a barrister at the High Court of South Africa.
In 2009, he was appointed Director of the Department of Safety and Security and served there until 2011. During his time in the South African Government, he was part of the team that established the office of culture, sport and recreation in Mpumalanga and was a spokesperson for David Mabuza, Premier of Mpumalanga.
He is an active member of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL). He is an active supporter of the current South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa.
In 2018, he was elected to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress and was appointed by the NEC to join the party’s National Working Committee.
He was appointed Minister of Justice and Correctional Services by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 29 May 2019. He assumed office the following day, 30 May.

Ronald Lamola married in 2013 to Bawinile Msiza at Cunning Moor in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga.
He is an activist. He is one of the voices in South Africa that actively criticizes the administration of President Jacob Zuma.
At the youth wing of the African National Congress, his losses were almost sealed by the actions of then-president Julius Malema, who was later expelled.
