Maurer oversaw the rehabilitation and opening of the water supply project at the Udu Main Market in Udu, Delta State, on May 25, 2017. As an ambassador of the Cathedral Foundation, which focuses on women and children, she also provides financial support to pregnant women at the 3-H Clinic and the Maternity Unit in Warri, Delta State.
