Saagar K Chandra was born on May 17, 1980, from Nalgonda district in present-day Telangana. His father is Rama Chandra Reddy and his mother is Sunitha Reddy.
His birth name was Kala Sagar, but he changed his name to Saagar K Chandra to add the suffix after his father’s name. He has a younger sister, Gauthami Reddy.
Saagar K Chandra went to school in Nalgonda and graduated from Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad, before moving to the US for his Masters.
