Rashad Spain (born October 8, 1993), better known by his stage name Saucy Santana, is a talented American rapper, songwriter, and makeup artist from Compton, California. He is best known for his singles “walk-in” and “Drip”. He has also lent his vocals to songs by Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, and Kodak Black.
He began his career as a makeup artist at MAC Cosmetics. He later switched to music and his first single, “Walk In,” was released in 2018. The song was a huge success and Saucy Santana has since released several more singles and EPs. He is currently signed to Atlantic Records.
In addition to his music career, Saucy Santana is also known as a makeup artist. He has appeared in magazines such as Vogue and Elle, and has done makeup for celebrities such as Kylie Jenner.

early life
Rashad Spain, also known as Saucy Santana, was born on October 8, 1993, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA, and grew up there. He was raised by a single mother named Teresa Harris. He spent most of his childhood in Bridgeport, and moved to Florida with his mother when he was 10 years old.
After moving to Florida, he began his music career. Although he started working as a makeup artist for City Girls, he began rapping professionally in February 2019 when he wrote a theme song for a podcast he was hosting with a friend at the time.
In 2008, 17-year-old Saucy Santana publicly admitted that he was gay and his gender was male.
Personal life
Saucy Santana and two others were shot in a drive-by shooting in Miami in December 2019. He was hospitalized with his injuries and said he believed the shooting was motivated by homophobia.
He said:I was shot above the shoulder, you were aiming for my face or head, he thought it would be instantly fatal.” This incident inspired him to write the song “You Can’t Kill Me”.

In August 2019, Saucy Santana released his debut single “Walk ‘Em Like a Dog” on the audio distribution platform SoundCloud. He then released the EP “Dog Walkers” in September 2019 and the mixtape “Imma Celebrity” in January 2020.
Saucy Santana was a regular guest on the third season of Love & Hip Hop: Miami, which aired on VH1 from January 6 to April 4, 2020. In August 2021, Saucy Santana appeared on American rapper Sukihana’s single Food Stamp Hoe. His 2020 track Walk went viral in 2021 after being featured in the TikTok #WalkChallenge, earning him support from American rapper Nicki Minaj.
His songs “Here We Go” and “Material Girl” rose to fame on the platform during the year, with the latter also receiving an endorsement from Madonna, who joined him at the 2022 New York Pride Parade to perform a medley of her song and Saucy Santana’s “Material Girl.”
The version they performed was later released as the single “Material Gworrllllllll!”, which was released on December 16, 2021. His debut studio album, Keep It Playa, included the track “Shisha”, his first collaboration with City Girls, with whom he began his career as a makeup artist.
In June 2022, Saucy Santana was heavily criticized for tweets he posted in 2014 about singer Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy Carter. He claimed to have compared Blue Ivy Carter to Kanye West’s daughter North West and called Blue Ivy Carter’s hair “unkempt.”
In August 2022, Saucy Santana made his Tonight Show debut, performing Booty. He also performed Booty during the pre-show for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.
