Early life
Sebastian was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on July 8, 1973. His parents were Italian immigrants.
His father is Salvatore Maniscalco, a hair stylist. While his mother, Rose Maniscalco worked as a secretary.
He was raised as a Roman Catholic and served as an altar boy from the age of eight.
Education
He attended Northern Illinois State University for higher education. He graduated in 1995 with a degree in Communication Studies.

While in college, he was president of the Sigma Pi fraternity.
Career
After graduating, Sebastian moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and began performing in bars and bowling alleys. During this job, he worked as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel. He worked there for 7 years (1998-2005).
His career came full circle in 2005 when he began performing regularly at The Comedy Store in California.
Over the past decade and a half, Sebastian has had half-hours for Comedy Central Presents and five-hour specials.
In June 2009, he released his first special titled Sebastian Live.
Since then, he has appeared in several comedy shows such as: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Jay Leno Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
In 2016, he appeared in the 7th season of the comedy Cars Getting Coffee.

In 2018, he debuted in the movie Green Book.
In 2019, he played Joe Gallo in the movie The Irishman.
His memoir was released in February 2018. It is titled Always Longing.
In 2019, he had the honor of hosting the MTV Video Music Awards.
Personal life
Sebastian married Lana Gomez in 2013. Their marriage is blessed with two children. Their first child is a baby girl born in May 2017. Her name is Serafina. Lana gave birth to son Caruso in June 2017.
