In 2002, Segun Olatayo decided to migrate abroad in search of greener pastures. He then moved to the United States to start a new life. Upon arriving in the United States, he started working in the real estate industry.

He became a real estate investor, buying properties and reselling them to new buyers. This led to the founding of the real estate company S&J Olas Properties. The company has properties in New York, Miami, Chicago, Hawaii, and Minnesota.
