Shayk Weiss, born Khadimou Rassoul Cheikh Fall on September 10, 1998 in Harlem, New York, is a talented rapper and songwriter. He grew up in a Muslim family whose parents immigrated to the United States from Senegal. His father worked as a tailor in Harlem, despite his limited English skills.

In January 2019, Ridge Productions accused Sheck Wes of failing to pay them for the video for his upcoming single Mudboy. In retaliation, the company released an edited version of the video with replaced audio, mocking him and his entourage for failing to uphold their contract.

The following month, Sheck Wes was photographed stalking his ex-girlfriend Justine Skye. This disturbing allegation was backed up by his high school classmates, who claimed he had displayed abusive behavior towards other women in the past.
