Michele Ann Marie Fabares (born January 19, 1944), known professionally as Shelley Fabares, is an American actress, singer, songwriter and activist. She is best known for the television shows Coach (1989–1997) and The Donna Reed Show (1958–1963).

She was motivated to pursue a career in show business by her aunt Nanette Fabray, a successful actress. She took on a number of acting roles during her teenage years after becoming a dancer and model. For her role as Mary Stone on The Donna Reed Show in the 1960s, she became famous as a teen queen.

James Fabares and Elsa Fabares welcomed Shelley Fabares into the world on January 19, 1944, in Santa Monica, California, USA. She shares an old two-story house in Hollywood with her parents and older sister Smokey Fabares.

Her father, James Fabares, worked at a real estate company. At Immaculate Heart High School, Shelley Fabares attended classes. She started dancing when she was three years old.
