early life
Slim Keyes was born on August 22, 1982, into the Oladapo family. His parents named him Oluwafemi. He comes from a Christian family and is from the Yoruba tribe in southwestern Nigeria.

Slimcase became interested in music and aspired to be a rapper when he was a senior in high school. At first he rapped only in English, but later he began to incorporate Yoruba, his native dialect, into his songs.

Slimcase got his chance when local rapper Idowest invited him to contribute to his hit single “Shepeteri”. The song became a national hit and was ranked as one of the hottest street hits of 2017 and 2018. The song also helped popularize the street dance Shaku Shaku, which became a favorite dance move for many Nigerians.
Riding on the success of Shepeteri, Slimcase also launched his own hit songs “Oshozondi” and “Otunba Lamba”, which were well-loved by street pop music fans and also brought Slimcase many cooperation opportunities.
In two years, Slimcase has worked with some of the country’s most celebrated artistes such as Tiwa Savage, DJ Neptune, Mr Real, D’banj, DJ Enimoney, Olamide, Zlatan Ibile, 2Baba, Larry Gaaga, Mz Kiss, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, CDQ and Peruzzi.
The Yoruba rapper has added several commercially successful songs to his discography since Slimcase rose to fame in 2017.
