Smite gameplay
“Smite” is a game with multiple ways to play, the biggest of which is called “Conquest”. Players can choose from options such as training with the AI, playing with friends, or participating in ranked matches. There are also special event games with unique rules such as unlimited coins.
At the beginning of each game, players choose a god or mythical character to control. There are many choices from Greek, Norse and other pantheons. Each character falls into one of five classes: Assassin, Guardian, Hunter, Mage, or Warrior. In competitive mode, two players on the same team cannot select the same character.
Unlike most games of this type, in SMITE you control your character from a third-person perspective. Each god has a basic attack, a special trait, and four abilities with different effects. You level up by gaining experience, which comes from defeating enemies in close proximity. You can also collect gold, which can be used to purchase items and special abilities.
Each mode of the game has a different map, divided into lanes where computer-controlled minions travel and jungle areas where monsters appear. Killing monsters will give you experience and gold coins. Some monsters drop buffs that temporarily enhance your abilities. There are also special, more powerful monsters that provide additional rewards to the team that defeats them.
