Early life and education
Bishop Stephen Zondo was born and raised on a farm in Heilbron, Free State, South Africa but his family was displaced due to apartheid.
He was born on 26 January 1966. His father’s cattle and horses were slaughtered, leaving them destitute. Stephen Zondo also claimed that every time a black man’s cattle accidentally grazed on a white man’s land, their cattle and horses were immediately killed.
Stephen Zondo graduated from Rhema Bible Training Centre in Johannesburg with a degree in theology. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Grace International. He then earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education from the International Apostolic College of Grace and Truth.
Personal life
Bishop Stephen Zondo is married to a woman identified simply as Seabi Pascaline Zondo, and they both share the priesthood. He and his wife, Reverend Seabi Zondo, founded the Rivers of Living Waters Ministry in 1988.
Spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. According to one of his sermons, he said that everyone must serve God in Mind, Soul and Body; and by serving God, we live freely by giving ourselves and our possessions while remaining close to God by living a holistic life and being sensitive to His Spirit through fervent prayer, he stated.
Stephen Zondo’s wife, Seabi Pascaline, fled him and the church after she discovered he was having an affair with another church member. She also stopped attending church services.

Career
Stephen Zondo, along with his wife, is the founder of Rivers of Living Waters Church. He, along with his wife and son, started the ministry on 24 September 1988, at their four-room house in Sebokeng 3 Zone.
The ministry then moved to a classroom at Sokwazi Secondary School in Zone 8. As the church grew, the space became increasingly crowded. The church was then moved to Shadvaal Centre in Zone 13, a bottle shop on Sandamela Highway and finally Evaton.
