Taylor Swift fans accuse Zach Bryan of stealing her music and songs

Taylor Swift fans are looking for something “better than revenge” in country singer Zach Bryan’s downfall.

Trending on TikTok, Swifties have now started comparing some of Swift’s older songs to songs composed by Bryan. They claim that Bryan stole or copied some of Swift’s old songs to make his own.

Some of these examples have now circulated on TikTok. One of the videos puts Bryan’s “Pink Skies” and Swift’s “Betty” side by side. Bryan released “Pink Skies” earlier this year as a single from Great American bar scene. “Betty” appears on Swift’s 2020 album Folk culture.

The video continues to show similar musical arrangements and compositions between the two songs. Both songs begin with acoustic guitar followed by harmonica. However, the tone seems different.

Swifties then compared the song “Better Days” from Great American bar scene featuring John Mayer and “Dear John” from Swift’s 2010 album Speak now. Interestingly, both songs are related to Mayer with one song rumored to be about him and the other being by the man himself.

The next TikTok features Bryan’s song “Let You Down” from Bryan’s 2020 EP Peaceful, heavy dreamsand “Should’ve Said No” from Swift’s 2006 self-titled debut album. The fiddle and banjo melodies in each song sound similar, and TikTok used the melodies as a means of comparison between the two artists .

This isn’t the first time Bryan has witnessed the anger of Swifties.

Previously, Bryan tweeted “the Eagles > frontman Kanye > Taylor are with me.”

The post created controversy as Swift and West’s years-long feud has spanned nearly two decades at this point. To add insult to injury, Bryan’s tweet insulted Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

After his tweet went viral, Bryan issued an apology to Swift. In his apology, he admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol when he made this post and encouraged followers not to “drink and tweet.”

“For the record guys, I didn’t go see Taylor the night before. I passionately compared the two records and it turned out wrong. I know there’s a lot of cover surrounding Ye and I’m talking It’s purely musical. I love Taylor’s music.” and pray you know I’m human and tweet stupid things all the time. Hopefully one day I can explain this to her,” Bryan said in his apology.

“Twitter got me into too much trouble and I said it was best for me to stay away from it,” he added.

Commentator Megyn Kelly later called on Bryan to apologize to Swift, saying she missed “real men”.

The latest blow to Bryan came when he was embroiled in a bitter breakup with ex Brianna LaPaglia.
