Taylor Swift lookalikes earn nearly $20,000 for each performance impersonating the superstar

A Taylor Swift impersonator is making money by paying tribute to the superstar.

Swift lookalike Olivia Mojica revealed that she makes so much money from each show that she was able to quit her day job and focus on performing as the lead singer of the Blank Space Tribute Band .

Speaking to TMZ’s “Swift-Tea Podcast” on Thursday, Mojica shared that the band earns up to $18,000 per appearance.

But she said she didn’t take the entire amount home because she split it with her band members.

Regarding his aspirations for the band, Mojica said their goal is to take their artists to other countries and tour “internationally”.

Mojica told the podcast that she’s confident that she and her bandmates will eventually get there as long as they continue to score gigs and build their reputation and fame .

When asked if she was worried that Swift wouldn’t be happy about an impersonator memorializing her, Mojica admitted that she was “afraid” of that happening.

According to the singer, their goal is not to take anything away from Swift.

“I don’t want to get into trouble,” she explained. “I want to always do the right thing and I always want to never take from anyone. I’m not a taker.”

Mojica said she and her band members always try to make their fans happy, even taking pictures with the children who attended their shows after the show.

“I do this for the mutual benefit of me, our band and the audience,” she added.

On its Instagram account, Blank Space Tribute Band has attracted more than 2,000 followers since its debut.

The account is filled with videos of their performances to date, with Mojica wearing outfits similar to Swift’s looks from her ongoing “Eras Tour.”

Swift has yet to publicly comment on the tribute band at the time of this writing.
