The Harry Styles lookalike contest in London is going on even after the Timothée Chalamet chaos in NYC

Harry Styles fans are looking forward to making the move history as the singer is the latest celebrity to receive a lookalike contest.

The contest announcement was first shared on Instagram. Offering cash prizes to first, second and third place contestants whose style closely resembles Styles, the competition will be held in London’s Soho Square at 1pm on Saturday, November 9.

The contest comes after a similar contest held for another member of One Direction, Zayn Malik, was announced. That contest was announced with flyers spread across New York City. It’s scheduled to take place on November 17 and some of the prizes include a free tattoo.

Malik did not comment on the event, but the match between him and Styles comes after their former bandmate, Liam Payne, unexpectedly died last month after falling from a balcony in Argentina.

Malik will tour on January 21 in Washington, DC, before heading to New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He will end in San Francisco on February 3.

Both Malik and Styles’ contests came after fan Timothée Chalamet organized a similar contest in New York. Chalamet actually showed up during the competition, which caused complete chaos. The NYPD arrested four participants for disorderly conduct as participants flooded into the real Chalamet.

When the event ended, 21-year-old Miles Mitchell won the Wonka costume contest, walking away with a $50 cash prize. However, the event had no consequences as the pageant organizers were fined $500 for holding an “unauthorized costume contest”, which was advertised through flyers posted throughout the city.

However, on November 7, another similar contest will take place – this time at Smithfield Square in Dublin, Ireland for Paul Mescal. The actor is in the area to promote his new movie, Gladiator II.
