The Knicks’ national anthem singer was challenged but completely won over the crowd

The stars weren’t the only bright things in the game against the Knicks on December 5.

A singer named Liceli was asked to sing the national anthem at the match. She had just sung the line “…and the stars shine, through…” when she was criticized by an audience member at the event.

Although it is unknown what the person shouted at her, footage of the event went viral on social media.

When Liceli, who wore a blue No. 24 Knicks jersey, was being hacked, she turned her head, seemingly confirming where the criticism was coming from. As she continued her performance, the audience quickly supported the singer — even Karl-Anthony Towns flashed a grin.

However, the performance once again encountered a hitch when another fan shouted shortly after. However, Liceli did not stop and once again energized through the song’s reminder.

After her performance, the crowd had a strong, positive reaction and she waved as she walked off the floor.

Late in the game, the Knicks went on to earn their fourth straight win, including their second win over the Hornets in a seven-day span.

Their next series is against the Pistons on December 7.

This wasn’t the only sports moment that went viral over the past year. In October, rapper Fat Joe was blamed for the Yankees’ loss after a controversial performance in the World Series.

Fat Joe shared some photos from the event as well as some clips of him performing. The videos are less than stellar and Fat Joe can be seen struggling to keep up with the soundtrack.

People criticized Fat Joe in the comments section, saying he was responsible for this loss.

One person said: “This is the moment I knew the Yankees were going to lose tonight’s game.

“As soon as Fat Joe showed up, I knew we were doomed…” another Yankees fan said.
