Thomas Sanders grew up in Gainesville, Florida, and still calls it home. He was born on April 24, 1989.
His maternal great-grandfather was born in Ireland, and he attributes his “ancestral theatrical roots” to his great-grandmother, who was a girl in the Ziegfeld Follies.
His father was a teacher. Thomas Sanders has three brothers: Patrick Sanders, Christian Sanders and Shay Sanders. In middle school, he began singing in front of an audience and took his first steps in acting at Kanapaha Middle School in Gainesville, where he sang in several choirs and starred in several school plays.
