Early life
Tila Tequila was born in Singapore and raised in Houston, Texas. In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a modeling career.
She has two siblings named Terri Nguyen and Daniel Nguyen.
She made her reality television debut on the VH1 show, Surviving Nugent, after appearing in numerous men’s publications (including Playboy, Stuff, and Maxim) (2003). Tila Tequila pursues a career as a music artist, author, model, and television personality.

Nguyen was nicknamed “Tila Tequila” by her friends because she seemed to dislike drinking. She later explained in her memoir that she felt “confused” and “lost” due to many personal difficulties with her family and environment. To express her intense emotions, she began writing poetry.
Tila Tequila ran away from home at the age of 16 and lived for many months in Queens, New York City. While still 16 years old, she was the victim of a shooting in Houston. She claimed to have been pregnant and had a miscarriage the following year.

In 2000, Tila Tequila graduated from Alief Hastings High School. Her rough childhood in Texas was considered the catalyst that led her to become a model and move to California in 2001.

Personal life
Tila Tequila reportedly agreed to enter treatment on March 7, 2012, after reportedly being “on the verge of death” following an attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. She was hospitalized and treated for a brain aneurysm. She completed her rehabilitation therapy on April 5, 2012.
Tila Tequila believes that the earth is not a sphere but a flat surface. Tornado Thien is the new stage name she started using in 2018.
Tila Tequila has a daughter named Isabella Monroe Nguyen. She had it with her husband or boyfriend named Thomas Paxton Whitaker.
