Timothée Chalamet Shows off His Bob Dylan Voice in ‘A Complete Unknown’ Trailer

Timothée Chalamet grapples with the effects of fame and reputation in the latest trailer for the Bob Dylan biopic, A complete unknown.

Chalamet had to pay the price of having to meet audience expectations in the vibrant music scene of the 1960s, while also balancing his artistry and his fans.

“They just want me to sing ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ for the rest of my life,” he complains in the preview.

The trailer shows Chalamet playing Dylan as the legendary musician from Minnesota as a young man arrives in New York’s West Village. From there, Dylan attempted to change the trend of American music, however, he became increasingly agitated with the need to determine as his fame reached new heights.

“If someone wants to get your attention on stage, you have to be a weirdo,” he says in the clip.

The trailer ends with Dylan abandoning acoustic and going completely electric at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

In addition, the film also addresses Dylan’s relationship with Joan Baez as they both journeyed to the top of the charts.

Chalamet himself sang for his role in the film and had previous singing experience as he did in the film Wonka from 2023.

A complete unknown is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25. In addition to Chalamet, the film also stars Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Boyd Holbrook, Will Harrison and Scoot McNairy.

Chalamet is also one of the film’s producers along with Fred Berger, Alex Heineman, Peter Jaysen, Bob Bookman, Alan Gasmer and Jeff Rosen.
