Meet Rob Tomson, Father Megan Thomson

Rob Tomson is the loving father of Megan Thomson. He breathed his last breath on March 27, 2020.

“I miss you so much already and I will miss you every day for the rest of my life. I promise to make you proud and strong like you have been to all of us,” Megan paid tribute to him four days later on her IG. “Thank you dad for everything and you are truly the best dad ever. You are so cool and brave, always making us laugh and playing pranks on us.”

A few months after Rob passed away, Megan took to her IG again to wish him a happy birthday on July 8, “Happy heavenly birthday to my dad. I would give anything to have you and be able to pamper you on your birthday, or even just to be able to buy you a birthday card. Everyone says how proud you would be of me, but really, I’m so proud to belong to you.”

Likewise, she often features him on her social media to tell the world how much she misses him. One time, she even wrote the lyrics to Luther Vandross’s song “Dance with My Father” on IG with a photo of him, followed by another caption, “Grief is the price we pay for love”.

Her last post about him was made on March 27, 2023, in which she mentioned that it had been three years since she last heard her father’s voice, but her heart still kept talking with them.
